ConQuest: India’s Premiere National quiz on the Indian Constitution, History and Politics

ConQuest: India’s premiere national quiz on the Indian Constitution, History and Politics is CLPR’s annual flagship event.

 

ConQuest encourages undergraduate and graduate students from the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, and law to engage with the Indian Constitution, law, politics, history and current affairs in a fun yet rigorous way.

 

Over three years, ConQuest has become the largest quiz and educational activity celebrating India’s constitutional history and politics. More than 8000 students have engaged with the past editions of ConQuest.

 

Each year, ConQuest travels to four corners of India to conduct the regional rounds and a national finale.

 

ConQuest 2016:

 

 

In 2016 we organized the first edition of ConQuest. The Quiz was supported by Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) with Walnut Knowledge Solutions as our knowledge partners. ConQuest 2016 was open for undergraduate and graduate University students.

 

The regional rounds were conducted between July and August 2016. It saw the participation of over 190 two member teams.

 

Two teams from NLSIU and a team from JNU were declared as ConQuest National Champions.

 

 

ConQuest 2017:

 

 

 

The 2nd edition of ConQuest was again supported by the Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) with Walnut Knowledge Solutions as our knowledge partners. Mr. Arvind Datar was the prize money and trophies sponsor.

 

The quiz was open to senior high school students (11th – 12th grade/PUC/Junior College) in addition to undergraduate and graduate students from all disciplines.

 

The regional rounds took place between August and September 2017. More than 233 two member teams took part.

 

SLS, Pune, Ramjas College and NLSIU bagged the top prizes in the national finals.

 

 

ConQuest 2018:

 

 

The 3rd edition of ConQuest was supported by the Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) with Walnut Knowledge Solutions as our knowledge partners. Mr. Arvind Datar was the prize money and trophies sponsor. ThePrint came on board as our digital partner.

 

ConQuest 2018 was open for undergraduate and graduate University students.

 

The regional rounds were organized in the month of September. It saw more than 236 two member teams actively participate.

 

Teams from GNLU, Gandhinagar, Ramjas College and Campus Law Centre were victorious in the national finals.

 

 

ConQuest 2019:

 

 

The Regional Office of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) continued its support for the fourth edition of ConQuest. Our knowledge partners were Walnut Knowledge Solutions. Mr. Arvind Datar sponsored the prize money and trophies. ThePrint continued its support as our digital partner.

 

ConQuest 2019 was open for undergraduate and graduate University students. It brought about two key changes to the format of the Quiz. First, the number of members in each team was increased to three. Second, to promote gender diversity and inclusivity each team was required to have atleast one non-male member.

 

The regional rounds were conducted between August and September 2019. ConQuest 2019 set a new record with over 239 three member teams taking part in various rounds.

 

Two NLSIU teams and a team from IIT-K won the national finals.
