20th December 1972: Kallur Subba Rao, a freedom fighter from the Rayalseema region and Constituent Assembly member from the Madras province, received formal education only till the 10th standard but went on to teach himself English, Kannada, Sanskrit, and Telugu.
21st December 1946: A Negotiating Committee, made up of Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad, Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Pattabhi Sitaramayya, Shankarrao Deo and Gopalaswami Ayyangar, was setup to represent the Princely States in the Constituent Assembly.
29th December 1948: The Constituent Assembly debates the extraordinary powers that should be granted to the President of India with respect to death sentences, sentences that were result of a Court Martial and punishments for offenses that related to subjects in the concurrent list.
30th December 1887: We celebrate K.M Munshi’s birthday, who was a member of 11 Constituent Assembly Committees and the Agent-General in the accession negotiations with the Princely State of Hyderabad.

The Supreme Court heard 7 of the tracked cases in the Winter session (Oct – Dec 2017) and reserved 3 of these cases for judgement: Kalpana Mehta v UoI (Judicial Relevance of Parliamentary Standing Committee Reports), Common Cause v UoI (Euthanasia and Living Wills), and NCT v UoI (Special Status of Delhi).
