Deepika Purohit

Deepika has completed her B.A. (Hons) in Sociology from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi, and went on to pursue her LLB from Jitendra Chauhan College of Law, University of Mumbai. Deepika is particularly interested in practicing rights-based litigation and family law.

As a Litigation Associate at CLPR, Deepika is involved with strategic impact litigation across High Courts and the Supreme Court. She has worked on matters pertaining to rights of persons with disabilities and women’s rights.

She intends to focus on issues of law and marginalisation and her commitment to social justice can also be seen through her internship experiences, where she has worked with renowned advocates and organizations practicing human rights law, including Senior Advocates Gayatri Singh and Mihir Desai, Advocate Veena Gowda, and the People’s Union for Civil Liberties.
