Ambica holds a MA in Gender, Violence, Conflict (International Development), from the University of Sussex, UK and a BA (Hons) History from Miranda House, University of Delhi.
She has worked as a research facilitator engaging with marginalised perspectives on sexual health and rights with Politics 4 Her, and as a consultant with Gender at Work on a United Nations Development Programme project to mainstream gender across institutional workstreams. Ambica has also served as Communications Lead at TARSHI and as a United Nations Special Procedures Researcher with the International Women’s Initiative.
She was awarded the ALLY Fellowship by the European Union and International Network of Religious Peacebuilders. She has also been a One Future Collective Fellow, a social justice and feminist leadership program.
Her research interests lie in conflict transformation, sexual and reproductive health and rights, peacebuilding, oral traditions, and literature.
