  • On Day 8 of the Aadhaar Act case Kapil Sibal highlighted the dangers to privacy inherent in the implementation of Aadhaar where among other things had resulted in data collected being held in a centralized database which was vulnerable to hacking attacks.
  • On Day 9, Kapil Sibal’s arguments in the Aadhaar Act case were on the use of biometrics and its contingent problems like beneficiaries being denied access to their rightful entitlements and the State having access metadata on the individual which could be used for purposes not linked to Aadhaar schemes.
