CALL FOR APPLICATIONS | Senior Editor (Full-time or Consultant)

Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR) is seeking an experienced research and editorial consultant for finalising research reports, for maintaining high quality in our publications, and refining the content.  This consultancy opportunity provides an opportunity to be involved in the publication of cutting-edge reports and policy briefs published by CLPR on the areas of constitution law and rights of vulnerable communities including rights and entitlements of women and girls, the transgender community, Dalit / Adivasi persons and persons with disabilities.

 

Your role will involve:
  • Finalising research reports and policy briefs on the areas of work of CLPR
  • Editing, checking data provided in the reports, ensure adherence to an agreed upon citation style throughout the report, providing guidance on research and content, ensure the report is easy to read and understand, minimise use of legal language to make the report appealing for a wider audience.
  • Editing and quality check of all CLPR publications as may be required.

 

 

Ideal Profile
  • A master’s degree in any social sciences discipline, preferably in law.
  • Ph.D would be preferred
  • Must have published extensively
  • Minimum 7 – 10 years’ experience in research / academic writing and editing.
  • Knowledge of gender sensitive communication styles.
  • Previous editorial experience with high quality reports and publications (Please mention these in your application).

 

 

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
