A. Centre for Law and Policy Research, Bengaluru (CLPR) 

 

CLPR was established in 2009, dedicated to making the Constitution work for everyone through law and policy research, social and governance interventions, and strategic impact litigation. It was founded by Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Vice-Chancellor, National Law School of India University, Bengaluru and Jayna Kothari, Senior Advocate, Supreme Court of India and High Court, Karnataka. CLPR’s focus areas include Constitutional Culture, Governance Reform, Disability Rights, Gender and Sexuality, Transgender Rights, and Discrimination and Intersectionality. CLPR is a registered not for profit trust with 80G and Section 124A income tax exemptions.

ConstitutionofIndia.net is an open access digital platform that provides insights into India’s constitutional and political history through its rich archive of historical and contemporary primary materials. We extend these digital materials through curated public engagement activities that include workshops, seminars, quizzes, conferences, theatre productions and much more! ConstitutionofIndia.net is routinely accessed by schools, universities, civil society organizations, lawyers, academics, and the general public. It is widely cited in numerous popular and academic books, journals, and news media. In late 2022, the Supreme Court of India referenced ConstitutionofIndia.net’s historical archives in its landmark EWS case.

             

C. Website Maintenance and Development Hour Requirements 

 

We are seeking a vendor to provide website maintenance for Constitutionofindia.net during the period from August 15 to December 15. This scope also encompasses comprehensive technical support for server-related aspects and advanced search functionality. Additionally, we require 50 development hours for implementing adjustments, modifications, and minor changes to web pages, functionalities, and other elements of the website. 

 

D. Eligibility 

 

The chosen vendor must meet the following criteria: 

  • Possess previous experience in website maintenance and development, particularly on WordPress platforms. 
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing advanced search engine operations and relevant search instance plugins such as Elastic Search, Jetpack, Typesense, etc. 
  • Preference will be given to vendors with prior experience in working with websites and digital assets within the non-profit and education sectors. 

 

C. The engagement period will not extend beyond December 15, 2023.
