Naibedya graduated from the National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata with a BA LLB.
Before joining CLPR, he previously worked with Justice Nagarathna at the Supreme Court of India as a judicial intern, and as a researcher for Parichay on a report analysing citizenship determination processes in Assam. In his previous experience at CLPR as an intern, he undertook research regarding the intersection of constitutionalism, discrimination and the right to life. He also assisted on litigation furthering the right to equal opportunity for transgender people.
He joined CLPR as a Research Associate, and worked in the areas of constitutional culture, transgender rights, anti-caste discourse as well as strategic litigation projects.
His research interests include constitutional rights theory, citizenship and immigration law, and labour law.
