Payal pursued B.A.LL.B from Dr. Ambedkar College of Law Deekshabhoomi , Nagpur and further did an LL.M in Criminal Law from G.R. Kare College of Law Margao, Goa.

She has been practising in the Honourable Supreme Court of India and various High Courts for the past 9 years. Previously she worked as a Project Manager for the Dalit Human Rights Defenders Network (DHRDNet).

As the Projects Coordinator, Payal is responsible for leading specific projects and overseeing overall administration at CLPR.
