Research Associates Deekshitha Ganesan, J. Mandakini, Saumya Dadoo and S. Aadhira were at the joint consultation on discrimination on the basis of caste and non-normative sexualities and gender identities in South India (Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana) on 12.10.2018 and 13.10.2018, organised by Rumi Harish, Sunil Mohan and Radhika Raj (from TISS), in collaboration with ALF. The consultation was held with a view to gather inputs from the community. Discussions revolved around the methodology of the study, the intersection of caste, sexuality and gender, experiences of discrimination at various avenues such as livelihood and education.
