A Talk on Judicial Crisis

Hosted by The Platform for Popularizing the Constitution of India & St. Joseph’s College the Talk on the Judicial Crisis will analyse and examine the debates on the power of the office of the CJI, the opaqueness in the administration of the higher Judiciary and its implications on the independence of Judiciary, that have been triggered by the press conference called by 4 Supreme Court Justices to express their concern on the functioning of the Supreme Court of India.

 

Jayna Kothari, the Executive Director of CLPR, was 1 of the 4 speakers at this event. The other speakers were Aditya Sondhi the current Additional Advocate General for the State, Arun Thiruvengadam who teaches constitutional law and politics at Azim Premji University, Bengaluru and Alok Prasanna Kumar who currently is a Senior Resident Fellow at the Bengaluru office of the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy.
