CLPR Occasional Talks #2 | Prof. John O’Dowd on Directive Principles and The Changing Economic Constitution

Professor John O’Dowd will present a paper titled “Directive Principles and The Changing Economic Constitution”. The talk will focus on Directive Principles under the Irish Constitution in the context of the recent developments about the European Fiscal Stability Treaty and recent constitutional amendments. The paper will briefly compare the Irish experience with the application of Directive Principles in the Indian constitutional law.

John O’Dowd is a Faculty Member of School of Law, University College Dublin. He teaches Constitutional Rights and Media Law in the University. His areas of interests are comparative constitutional law, human rights ( socio – economic rights) and jurisprudence.
