CLPR:

SCO:

  • Mr. Kapil Sabil withdrew the petition challenging the rejection of the motion to impeach the Chief Justice of India on the ground of lack of transparency in the constitution of the bench to hear the matter.
  • On Day 37 of the Aadhaar Act case, Mr. Shyam Divan and Mr. Gopal Subramanium argued that Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act has reduced poor, disadvantaged sections into “second class citizens”.
  • On Day 38 of the Aadhaar Act caserejoinders were presented by Mr. Gopal SubramaniamMr. Arvind Datar, Mr. P. Chidambaram, Mr. K.V. Vishwanathan and Mr. P.V. Surendranath.
  • The Supreme Court held hearings in the Rohingya Deportation matter and on 11th May 2018, the Central Government’s Report on the Rohingya Refugee Camp was examined by the Supreme Court.
